Return and Refund Policy

At LightJourner, we want you to love your purchase. Because most items are made-to-order via print-on-demand, our return policy is designed to be fair while protecting our small business. Please review this policy before purchasing. All returns are subject to inspection and approval.
1. Return Eligibility (Apparel & Physical Merch)
30-Day Return Window: You may return unworn, unwashed, undamaged apparel (t-shirts, hoodies, etc.) with all original tags, packaging, and in resalable condition within 30 calendar days from the delivery date shown on the carrier tracking.
Acceptable Returns: Wrong size/color received (if different from what you ordered), manufacturing defect, or significant print quality issue (we'll assess photos).
Non-Returnable Items:
- Worn, washed, altered, or damaged by customer
- Items without original tags or packaging
- Sale/clearance items (unless defective)
- Custom or personalized orders (if offered in future)
- Digital downloads, music albums, or gift cards (all sales final once delivered/downloaded)
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery
We reserve the right to refuse returns that appear abused (e.g., repeated returns of the same item) or do not meet the above criteria.
2. Digital Products
All sales of Digital Products (including worship music albums such as CHRIST IS KING, ETERNITIES, and STARBORNE) are final and non-refundable. Because these files are delivered instantly via download link and can be copied or retained, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations once the file has been provided. The only exception is in rare cases of verifiable technical defects that prevent download or playback — such requests must be submitted within 7 days with supporting evidence (screenshots or error logs).
3. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
- Email returns@lightjourner.com within 30 days with your order number, reason for return, and clear photos of the item(s) and any defects.
- We will review your request (usually within 1–3 business days) and email you a Return Authorization (RA) number and instructions (prepaid return label for U.S. customers in most cases, or instructions for international).
- Ship the item(s) back in original packaging using the provided label or your method (keep tracking proof).
- Once we receive and inspect the return (3–7 business days after receipt), we will notify you of approval and process the refund or exchange.
Exchanges: Preferred for size/color issues when stock allows. You pay any price difference + return shipping (we cover outbound replacement shipping for approved exchanges). Contact us to arrange.
4. Refunds
Approved Refunds: Issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after we receive and approve the return. You will receive an email confirmation. Credit card refunds may take an additional 2–5 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.
Partial Refunds: May be issued for items returned in non-resalable condition (e.g., missing tags) or if only part of an order is returned.
Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective, or damaged in transit). Return shipping is your responsibility unless we provide a prepaid label for U.S. returns.
Store Credit: As an alternative, we may offer store credit (valid 12 months) which avoids return shipping hassles.
5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and order number. We will arrange a replacement or full refund (including original shipping) at no cost to you. Do not return damaged goods without authorization. We apologize for any inconvenience and will make it right promptly.
6. Cancellations
You may cancel an order before it enters production (usually within 2–4 hours of placement). After production begins, cancellations are not possible as items are made specifically for you. Contact us immediately if you need to cancel.
7. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. The item must still be in the same condition that you received it — unworn, with tags attached, and in original packaging.
8. Final Notes
We appreciate your understanding that as a small business using print-on-demand, we have limited ability to accept returns compared to traditional retailers. We stand behind the quality of our products and the message they carry. If you have any questions or concerns about sizing, please refer to our size guide or contact us before ordering.
This policy is in addition to any rights you may have under consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction (e.g., cooling-off periods in some countries). Nothing in this policy limits those rights where applicable.
